Testimonials:
"My wife and I worked with Jane at a time when we were under pressure from the increasing illness of her mother. The time that caring for her required meant that we had much less time together. We had to find places for her care -- her growing dementia meant that she couldn't remain in her apartment and then led to her being kicked out of her first assisted-living place -- had to sell her home to pay the bills, had to find a way to relate to her in spite of her confusion and suffering, had to deal with our own grief and loss during her time in hospice and after her death. Jane helped us see ourselves as partners in these challenges rather than rivals, and helped us understand that the differences in the ways we approached problems were something to rejoice in rather than regret. Jane is not a "cheerleader" type, but she made us feel that our values and goals were things that were precious, and that our love for each other was something remarkable and special. She has a gift for asking simple questions that lead deeper and deeper into what we really believe, and pays careful attention to what we say so that she can bring together pieces of our story whose connection we had missed. I think we never left a session with her without feeling lighter and more in love with each other. We'll always be grateful for her help and her friendship." - M.S.

"I had been therapied by Jane for over a year who really I felt comfortable talking with, who really helped me to dare to talk about my feelings. As I know people usually find it hard to share their private feelings, for me it had been a different experience to get rid of my thoughts, dreams, and pains that hung on me for so long. I came to this point that I deserve to live with less pain and be happy. I was a kind of person who didn't want to talk when there were no ears to get to know the pain. Meanwhile I was talking, Jane encouraged me to talk about those private feelings by asking questions and ensuring that she had been listening. As a result, I vent my mind through talking rather than hiding them so that I could take the chance of getting rid of the pain and anger" - S.I.
"I started working with Jane during a very dark time when I was overwhelmed with loneliness and hopelessness. I was convinced there was no way out. To my surprise, I felt like Jane understood me even though we have such different backgrounds. She was so patient and understanding. She somehow connected me back to my old self- someone who has directions and someone who knows how to laugh. It brought me hope. Meeting with her became my weekly boost. I'm doing a lot better now and I thank her for where I am today." - R.A.
